“Everybody my name is ana and welcome to fuck back to my channel for today today s video. I have a story time for you i used to do story videos all the time. I think i used to make them so often i ran out of stories. But guess what something happened the other day something so fucking bizarre.
I tried googling it couldn t find anything about it. I asked pretty much everybody i knew if they ve heard of anything like this before and nobody knew what the fuck was going on now. I can warn all you guys that sketchy shit goes down on the internet as if we didn t already know that my point. Here is sketchy shit could happen to anybody you could literally just get randomly picked and get thrown into a bunch of a legal shit and that is what happened to me not very long ago this happened like a week ago.
Maybe actually maybe like two weeks ago. So if you re watching this and you have a venmo account or if you have pretty much like anything cash app. Paypal. Even i m sure this shit can happen anywhere.
So. If you have any type of payment accounts like that listen up cuz like i said the shit could have happened to anybody. But of course it would happen to a youtuber so let me take it from the beginning about a week ago. I was sitting in my bathtub and i get a call from a weird number like you could tell it wasn t a cellphone.
It was like a business and usually i don t answer phone calls that i don t know so i don t know why i picked this phone call up especially well in the bathtub. But for some reason. I did i shut the water off. And i picked up the phone and this guy was like hi.
Is this ana campbell and i m like who s this like before. I said yeah cuz like i don t know who you are and he tells me that he works for venmo. They are going to put a temporary hold on my account because of fraud activity and i m like what and he asks me if i know anybody by the name of mellie and then said their last night. And i m like no like i have no idea.
What you re talking about it continues to tell me that somebody named mellie is trying to get into my account and attached our accounts. I guess you can like connect that no accounts. I had no idea of this prior. I don t really know what it s used for but basically you can connect multiple accounts and apparently somebody named mellie was trying to get into my account to connect our accounts.
And he s telling me all this saying all these big words that i don t fucking understand. And i m like wait so did my shit get hacked because i have my debit card connected to my venmo my credit card connected to my femme au so i m like great i m fucked. But he goes on to tell me don t worry nothing was hacked. She didn t get access to the you can they caught it before anything happened.
And that they are just able to see on their and that somebody named melly was trying to gain access to my account. But again like i said he reassured me that i had nothing to worry about then he goes on to tell me that i m going to be getting a text message with the link and i have to click that link and i had to change my password now when he tells me that immediately my whole perspective changes and i m like wait is this like a reverse scam what if he doesn t work for venmo at all what if he wants me to click this link and change my password and then he s gonna get access to my shit. So i m like so confused. And i m just like okay.
Okay okay green with what this guy saying and he s like yeah..
You re gonna get a link in a couple hours in my head again. I m like why is it gonna take a couple hours like if this is been motioned. I get the link right away like why you know so i m like super leery about all this i m like is this guy actually working for the memo trying to help me or is. He the hacker is he a scammer basically the phone call ends with him reassuring me that i have nothing to worry about that nothing got hacked at all all my stuff is saved.
But i had to click the link and change your password and put a hold of my account. So i m like okay just agree with him then i get out of the bag go right onto my laptop check. My venmo and everything is the same i don t see any suspicious activity. I don t have any notifications from venmo no emails from venmo.
So i m like that fucker was the hacker so i didn t do anything i didn t change my password. I was just going to wait and see what happens and the next day. I get a link telling me to change my venmo password and i m like fuck. I don t know if this is real or not so i go onto the computer.
Because my goal here was to search the phone number to see if it s actually coming from like a bimbo whatever the fuck headquarters. I don t know you know what i mean like i was trying to see if it was a venmo phone number. And when i logged onto my venmo account the next day remember when i logged on right after this phone call everything was fine so i wait to the next day. I log into my account.
And i have three thousand dollars in my bank account and i m like that s not mine and i m like what the fuck is going on so i go on my page and i scroll down. And i see guess who mellie and she sent me 500 multiple times for different things rent phone. A photo. Just like random shit.
So i m like what the fuck is going on thousand dollars. They re probably stolen money sitting in my account. How did i get thrown into this mess. So i immediately remove all my accounts from my bed mo i removed my bank accounts in my credit card in my debit card because i don t know what s going on i just wanted my shit disconnected from this account and i realized this when it was like late so.
My plan was to call ven mode. The next day and try to explain what s going on to them next day comes around and i try to call venmo and nobody is helping me right. And then i have a realization. Why am.
I not filming this this shit is happening to a youtuber. A youtuber who could spread awareness by sharing. The story that this shit could happen to anybody so i then decide to do an online chat with ven mom let me read you what they said so i opened this like online chat and i tell them exactly what happened right this was their response thanks for letting us know about this if you did not make changes to your profile. It s possible somebody may have access to your account.
I temporarily suspended your venmo account to prevent any unwanted activity you ll receive an automated email confirming the suspension you do not have to reply to that email here are some steps. We recommend you take in order to secure your account. 1. Review your vend.

Account. Bla. Bla. Bla to change your password.
Bla. Bla. Bla. 3.
La blah blah. I literally replied with wait. What then. I said.
No. One made any changes to my account somebody sent me 3 thousand dollars. And it s a scam. It s probably stolen money then venmo replied with i m escalating your case to an account specialist.
Who handles these issues someone from that team will reach out with the next steps within. 7 to 10 business days via email. So i m like great. I m gonna have three thousand dollars.
It was a little under three thousand was like two thousand eight hundred or something like that just sitting in my account like i feel uncomfortable. But what if i didn t even realize that and i just transferred money and then two days later the fucking fbi s knocking at my door and i m in prison. I don t want to be involved in this i don t want the money in my account. I m like what is happening so i tell myself just relax.
It s really not a big deal of mo will handle it just give it 7 to 10 business days. I think like two days went by and i was like i m not dealing with this anymore. I m getting to the bottom of this and i start searching this person s name that sent me all the money into finding. No results then i search facebook and i see someone that looks just like a person on venmo.
I m like hmm so i messaged her and i say is your name on venmo mele and she says. It is and i said is your photo out of beach. And she said did you get hacked too and then she also said yes and i said why did you send me. 3000 i have 3000 in my account it says it s from you for a phone air conditioner rent and more then she said someone hacked my account and sent it to you i reported it to venmo though i said why would somebody send me 3000.
From your account. She said. A scammer called my phone pretending to be venmo then she says i have no idea. I literally thought you were the one who hacked me for a second before i spoke to venmo and i m over here thinking.
She s the hacker then she says but i would change your password and i said so are you missing 3000..
Do i have your money in my account and she said my bank got it back for me and i said so you already have it back. And she said yes i have it back which left me so confused because there was still three thousand dollars in my account. So i don t know if it was just taking a little while to like i don t know i didn t understand i still don t understand really and then. I said that s so weird why is it still in my account.
And she said. I wouldn t transfer that money it might be part of the scam they literally cleared out my entire bank account. I was at negative 300 at this point on mind blown. Then.
I said. I m just so confused why would they steal your money and send it to me like why me. And she said. I m not sure maybe if you cash that money they could hack your bank account.
Which like made me had a realization like what if i was gonna transfer that money to my bank. Account and somehow the hacker would like gain access to my account once i transferred it if that makes sense and she said. But then mo is also aware of the situation and they said they ll be manually removing it so maybe it will take a bit and then i said okay good. I just wonder why they picked me and she said lol.
I don t know i was wondering the same thing about myself. I said hahaha damn well at least it makes a good story get it and i said hopefully they don t have my shit and she said haha right. It must have been nicer to be on the receiving end of this crazy shit. Though change your password and give a call to venmo.
So they know you re as confused as i am like how nice is she she s so right. She said. It must have been nicer to be on the receiving end of this crazy shit. I literally got three thousand dollars with this poor girl s money stolen in my account.
How they picked her no idea. How they picked me no idea. We had no mutual friends on facebook. It was just completely completely fucking random.
Which is wild and then the conversation pretty much ended there and she s a fucking sweetheart. I m over here thinking she is a fucking hacker. So was the person and that called me originally when i was the bat were they the hacker. I don t know where they actually venmo.
I don t fucking know the number didn t match up. But it had the same bursts like numbers that the first few digits and a lot of organizations. They ll have like the same digits. But depending on the department they ll have different four digits.
So i don t know i was so fucking confused..
I don t know who was the scammer. I don t know how they did it i don t know what their motive was i don t know anything like what would have happened oh. It s to finish the story first so a few days went by and it said that i paid venmo the exact amount of money i ll like put something up on the screen and show you exactly what i mean they just removed it from my account. And it like gave me a notification.
Saying that i paid a venema. I didn t pay anybody anything they must have just taken it out or something so what the fuck happened i genuinely i don t know like i don t have the slightest idea. I tried to do research on venmo scams and i found a scam that somebody will send you money and then be like oh. I m sorry i sent that to you by accident will you send it back to me and then before you send it back to them they cancelled your transaction and then you send it back to them and they end up getting your money from your account.
But when i found information about that type of scam. Online it wasn t anything like 3000. And it wasn t in multiple transaction. It would be a small transaction like sent once i had a multiple 500 transaction from ellie.
They couldn t have been like oh i sent you five transactions by accident please send it back like it just doesn t make sense to me the only thing that makes sense to me is if i transferred that money into one of my accounts. Maybe they would have gained access to my accounts on that and that s why immediately i removed my credit card debit card in both of my bank accounts because fuck that shit i want to be involved in your illegal shit like i don t know how you picked me i almost asked melia. She was ever involved in dock web shit because i thought maybe it had something to do with that i don t know and i still don t know and then mo wasn t the most helpful like they solved it but they didn t give me any insight on what happened like it s fine. It s not a big deal.
But that s why i m making this video now to give a heads up to all of you guys that that shit can happen to anybody and if you randomly see a huge amount of money in your account. Don t get excited about that like i know that it s like oh dude. Thousand dollars. Let me fucking transfer this shit.
You don t know what could happen especially. If the hacker can gain access to your account. Once you transfer. The money.
Which seems like the only logical explanation here. But again. It s just that they re you guys watching have any guess or a theory. As to what may have happened let me know in the comments.
