I have topped down three lists which are important to know what really our client of facing currently the first is you really have not understood the pain points of our client. Now when i say that let me give you an example many years ago.
When i was working or vendor came and he wanted to sell us a leadership program now i knew the vendor because they have a huge reputation in the market and they have done when he works with all my organization fortune 500 companies. But when i invited that kind he started talking about what are the products that they have with them he didn t even ask me what are my challenges. What am. I currently facing in the organization who are my target audience.
What is the profile that i m looking for he didn t even ask me whether this program is meant for a short term or long term..
If you look at from my perspective. I thought he had just came to me to sell his program and really not bother to know what my real issues and challenges are though a big name a big brand. But sometimes you falter. If you do not really pay attention.
What really your clients are looking for second you know the client. Very well and you believe the same solution will work not really true why because the same product. That you have sold to one of your client may not serve the same purpose for me and therefore. A communication program or presentation program or any such program maybe i require.
But it may not really be sufficient for the group that i am looking for so you need to understand why do i need to do that program..
And what is the context that i really want to set up as an organization and therefore. It is important to understand the client. Mean and then come to the solution. Solution is the last part of it and the third one a customer asked.
A question and you can t answer well that s perfectly fine. If you do not have any answers. We are not supposed to know all the answers by the way first is to your groundwork. You should know little bit of the background of the organization.
You should know why you re going there..
You should know for the decision makers. And if they re asking you a question you do not have it we pull on it and see that i will come prepared next time it s ok to say no to your customer. So these are the three important point ensure that i really feel if you look into it they can work for your benefit. Sure.
