Stutter issues and it really seemed like nothing. Nwas working so after combining a few of the issues. I nhad found online. I was able to come up with a solution that allowed me to get nstutter free gameplay in battlefield.
5. And honestly it felt really rewarding nand. I just wanted to turn around and share that with you guys now i did have na video a little while ago that actually went over how to run a third party nprogram that can help alleviate your stuttering in battlefield. 5.
And for a nlot of people that ended up working. But there was still that small subset of npeople that it just didn t work for them or they just didn t want to run nthird party programs and i can t really blame you i mean the game should really njust start up and run perfectly fine and ea should have done a better job on nvetting their game before it went out. I feel like dice should have done a nbetter job too. But needless to say we can t fix that and so what we re gonna ndo in this video is just go over the settings that i currently have that nworked for me.
And i really hope that they work for you and they re able to nhelp you get a better experience when playing battlefield. 5. And hopefully can nget out there and just frag the shit out some people so let s just get started. So nhere.
We are at the battle of five screen just as soon as you open the game you re ngonna. More you re gonna go into options video and here on this first page of nbasic..
We re not really gonna mess with anything here in my testing nothing on nthis page really affects your fps. More than like one or two fps maybe three at nthe max. But it s really nothing that causes any kind of significant impacts nwe re just gonna skip this page all together we re gonna head over to the nadvanced page and on the advanced page. What you re gonna want to do you re just ngonna want to go in and first things first turn off directx 12.
So you can see nhere. I have it off the reason. You re gonna want to turn it off is that ndirectx 12 in battlefield. 5.
Has some serious issues in most cases will cause nyou stuttering. Now the shitty thing is is that this comes on by default. But you nreally just just turn it off just trust me. It s going nbetter all around now the second thing is for me.
I turn off high dynamic range nit s a lot of extra work for my graphics card that i really don t want happening nit doesn t change my experience that much overall in battlefield. 5. And so i nturn it off that s up to you but in my case. I keep it off now this one right nhere is important so the frame limiter.
So you re gonna want to turn that up to n200. Which is currently the maximum you re allowed to put out or the highest nvalue you can put for battlefield. 5. You don t want to pump that all the way to nthe top just like you re not having a framerate issues where the game is ntrying to copy overlord frame rate than what you can put out and you should be ngood there and then ffr so future frame.
Rendering. You re gonna want to go in and njust turn this on so i ll go over it in a few exactly what you need to set in nyour nvidia settings to get this working but turn this on for now and you should nbe good and then vertical sync turn..
It off vertical sync. If you re not familiar ncan. Actually cause a lot of input lag. And just going on turn that off that s ngenerally good knee in almost every video game.
You don t really these days. Nneed vertical sync. So you re just gonna turn that off and for me personally i nturn on gpu memory restriction. So the reason.
I do this is i found there s a nlike quite a few cases where battlefield. 5. Will hit memory issues and that can nactually end up in being like a bsod or it can end up being you know like some nother negative impact on your system. Maybe the game crashes itself.
It s just nbetter just turn it on so that you get you know a memory restricted gameplay nand. It s only using what your graphics card can put out if you don t i mean nyour mileage may vary and then everything down here in quality nsettings is completely personal preference. I turn off ambient occlusion ni turn ta down to low just because i want more frames out of my game. Which nmeans faster response time for me.
Because i m running on 144 hertz monitor ni. m trying to get as close to 144 fps. As i can in order to get the maximum you nknow performance out of my game. While still keeping a good look.
So you can ncopy. These..
If you want pause. The video copy my settings that i nhave here in the quality settings. If you want they don t really they just ngenerally gonna change from system to system. I wouldn t say that you need to nhave these.
But the real important part here is just these settings up here in nperformance. So the directx12 enabled is off high dynamic range off future frame nrendering on vertical sync off and gpu memory restriction on and then right now nwe re just gonna go over with my in the video settings. And there s only one nsetting that you need to check in there for this video and hopefully after you ndo that you can restart battlefield. 5.
And everything is good so how about you ngo ahead and close battlefield. 5. And we re gonna go to the nvidia control nsettings right now alright so here we are in the nvidia control settings and nwhat. We re gonna do is we re gonna go to 3d settings nwe re gonna go to manage 3d settings you re just gonna click that and then nyou re gonna come over here to global settings and what you re gonna do is nyou re gonna scroll down until you see maximum pre rendered frames and in order nto get the best performance in battlefield.
5. You re gonna want to set nthis to use 3d application settings. Now the reason that i do use 3d application nsettings is because when i change this value manually. I just got really bad nperformance and so as soon as i switch it to use the 3d application settings nhere.
It actually ended up giving me really smooth gameplay. So this part is nreally important to the settings that we just changed and you re gonna go in nyou re gonna have a few options here but you re just gonna click use 3d napplication settings. And when you click that you re gonna come down. Here.
Nthere ll be a button here for you that says apply and that is gonna set the nsettings in motion. And they re gonna stick..
So that s all there is to it you nshould now be able to open back up battlefield. 5. And you should be getting nstuddard less gameplay across the board like i said before i really hope nthat. This video helps you i hope that this helps you solve the issues that nyou ve been having with battlefield.
