Today, newyorkcityvoices.org would like to introduce to you How To Draw Gacha Life Creepypasta Characters (Jeff the Killer, Slenderman, Clockwork + More!). Following along are instructions in the video below:
“Life creepypasta characters that s what i m gonna be showing you how to draw draw in this video. If you hate gotcha life don t worry just pretend they chibi characters. It s pretty much the same thing. I m gonna start off by cleaning up my messy workspace when i start a new artwork.
It s nice to have a fresh and clean work bench. It s not gonna be that way for long for this drawing. I m gonna be using copic markers. But if you don t have them that s okay use whatever you ve got for the paper.
I m using kansan lead proof paper. It s a special marker paper. It s cheap and it works well. I ll be using a technical pencil and an eraser to do the sketch.
I ll start by roughly sketching in the basic shapes of the characters to figure out the composition of where i want all of them placed on the page don t do details yet figure out. Where you want everything to be on the page and then you can go into details don t be afraid to look at reference for this stage. You can figure out the positioning and pose of the characters you don t have to copy the reference exactly. But it will give you a good guideline of the proportions for the characters get your life and chibi characters have massive heads.
So keep that in mind with the rough sketch completed now we re going to move on to inking now. Remember. The sketch does not have to be perfect in fact. It shouldn t be the sketch is meant to be quick.
We re going to be erasing that after the inking. Stage i ll be using a 02. Copic multiliner for this but you can choose whatever liner. You prefer and the thickness that you like this one that i m using is quite thick and i think.
It s appropriate for these gotcha and chibi style. Artworks but the smaller details on the face i m using a 003 multiliner. It makes it a bit easier and as a bonus if you make a mistake you won t be as noticeable because it s not big thick lines. So you can just slowly correct.
It with little strokes. That s a win win take your time with the inking. You don t need to rush just relax put on some music and do your best don t be too hard on yourself. If you make some mistakes or your line work isn t perfectly smooth inking is a skill which takes years to build up and we re all still working on it but trust me on this you will get better the more you do it so just keep drawing keep inking and you will improve.
I promise you that if you guys are enjoying the video. So far and want to see more tutorial style videos like this let me know in the comments and if enough people want it i ll make more i m adding some final details to the inking then i m going to erase the pencil sketch underneath and we can move on to the coloring as you may have noticed i haven t lined their skin in black apart from geoff s neck. I stuffed that up i m using a light gray and a dark grey liner to do their skin. But if you don t have them black work fine.
I just had those liners lying about so i thought i d use it it gives it a softer look. But it s definitely not essential with the line work done it s time to begin coloring. I will be using copic markers. But if you don t have them use whatever you ve got whatever brand that may be you ll still be able to see what techniques i use and hopefully apply it to the art supplies that you have i m starting out by coloring their skin.
I m only using one color for their skin tones. It s super simple and easy. I m focusing on fully saturating their skin to avoid any streaks..
So work quickly for the best results. I m using a few different markers for the different characters. But there s no set colors you should be using here it just depends what you have and what you like the look of the little sally over here. It s gonna be a tiny bit different.
I m still just using one marker for her base skin color. But i ve got two other pink kopeeks. I m gonna show you where special blending technique with gather round children let me tell you how perfect blends are created. When 2 kopecks love each other very much you can rub the tips.
Together what i m doing is using the lighter copic to dab on the end of the darker copic and that s gonna transfer a little bit of ink across and that gives you the opportunity to do a slight blend and build it up over time. It s a really cool technique just clean off the tips at the end when you re done when coloring eyes. I ll generally go from lightest to darkest the lightest area being at the bottom of the eye into the dark area being up at their eyelid. Having a nice transition of those colors.
Then i ll go in with the gray marker and shade. The whole top portion of the eye. It gives it more of a shiny look now remember this is just one way to color eyes. There s no set way so experiment and to figure out what you like the gotcha art style is very minimal when it comes to blending.
Most of the colors are just flat colors so it s a lot easier. And it s an awesome beginning point for any new artists out there. But if you would like some more in depth tutorials learning. How to blend and use texture.
And all of that good stuff let me know in the comments support the video. Because if it does well and you guys want to learn more stuff from me or be sure to do some videos like that i ve selected a few colors for their hair. Now here. There is actually gonna be some blending transitions.
It s still with super easy they ll talk you through it i ll start by using the lighter base color and apply the strace to follow the fall of the hair then i ll go in with the darker. Kobe to add some shadows for lou over here i m only using one color. But you ll be able to see if you build up a layer on top of the base layer you ve done even if it s the same copic. It will be darker.
So make sure to utilize that it s an easy way to get another toned variant in there without having to use extra kopeeks. When coloring black hair. I like to start off with gray. Where the highlights are going to be and then build that up to black in this drawing i kept it quite light.
I didn t want the hair being too imposing and too dark. But if you prefer it darker that s definitely an option just use some darker markets. Pretty simple sally s hair is going to be quite similar to clockworks. I m just following the flow of the hair and then adding some shadows at the end around the neck at this stage.
I felt like the wine work was looking a bit weak. So i decided to go in and thicken it up it is marvin devine with the coloring done and to the wine work looking fresh and crisp. I m gonna add some highlights to their eyes with a white gel and then we can call it done at this stage you could definitely call it done. But i felt like there was something missing they ve all got knives.
But where s the blood. I decided to do a quick poll on my instagram to see if my followers the one i should add blood there will be blood this is my secret technique. I ve developed over the years so don t tell anyone i m adding blood where i think it looks good or he s appropriate like the knife tips and all of that i m just smudging the blood round..
I m using two different markers at this stage a really light pink marker and a brownish red marker now you can use other colors this is just what i like but i definitely encourage you to experiment and find something that you like next. I m adding a brighter red to the mix. I m still keeping the same white pink marker to help with blending that bright of red is really gonna help make that blood stand out i generally try to apply it sparingly. Though so i don t overdo it.
But again it all comes down to personal preference. When i m happy with the amount of blood. I ll go in with my white gel pen and add some final highlights to the edges of the blood splatters and that s pretty much gonna wrap up this artwork. But for you guys who stuck around till the end.
I ve got a bit of a secret announcement for you i ve actually started a second hour channel. That our channel is gonna focus on light hearted artwork and have a bit of my personality thrown in whereas. I m keeping this channel more horror focused i m gonna leave a pinned comment down below so you can go to that new channel and be one of the first subscribers for the channel and show your support there s already some new fun videos on that channel. So i hope you check it out.
But next week. I ll be back with a creepypasta video and a big thank you to my patrons who have helped support me to continue making videos. I t the gaming graphics card. 40 of the entire budget is going into the graphics card which is about where it should be that is not an unreasonable amount to spend if the primary purpose is to play games.
We have two choices here both are 400 for the same price it largely comes down to personal preference. There are differences and i will do a head to head. Comparison of these in the very near future. Very extensive with a lot of tests.
But for now let me just say that they are very similar in performance once from nvidia once from amd the gigabyte win force triple fan rtx 2060 super. 8. Gigabyte card versus the gigabyte win force triple fan notice a pattern there amd radeon are x. 5700 xt.
Both have 8 gigabytes of gddr3. The 5700 xt is in benchmarks a little bit faster. But they re very similar in performance. And it may very well come down to whether you have a free sink.
Or a g sync. Monitor. Or whether you care about such things. Or whether you simply play.
Games. That are optimized for amd or nvidia. Because after all some just work better on one card or another both have the exact same cooler. Both will run.
Very very nicely with a rise in 5 3600. Both will fit in most mid tower. Case. As long as you have enough room for the length.
The heights not a problem and at 400 you get the ability to play any game at 1080p hide ultra. Sixty to a hundred frames per second no exceptions in 2019. 1440p is doable unlike 97 of all games..
60 to maybe even a hundred frames per second at times. These are really powerful cards if you want to have a card that s going to do 1080p high detail for the next three years. This is actually the minimum you can buy you could absolutely get like an rx 580 or an rx 590 for half the price. But those cards are now several years old and they will not play for the next three years 1080p high on the new and upcoming titles.
Whereas. These will and if you re buying a cpu that s going to play all new games for the next three years you want a graphics card that will play all new games for the next three years which is why we re going with one of these again pick your favorite all these components are lovely. But you need something to put them in we have here something i have never covered on the channel. Before this is from a company called arrow cool.
And it is their cylon white case with rgb with memory controller and multiple ports in the front. For only 50. Plus. Tempered glass.
It s actually a huge value. It s a little bit smaller than some of the cases have covered in the past. But it will take a full sized atx board. And i will do a build in this at some point.
It supports two two and a half inch drives and two three and a half inch drives. There is ventilation on the top which to be blunt is really good because there s like no ventilation in the front. This is not an appropriate case for anything much higher than this 8 or 12. Cores would not go well in here.
This is a this is a case for a 6. Quart 12 third rise in 5 3600 to be. Blunt but it is 50 and if you re spending 1000. On the system yes you could go with a bigger nicer case yes you could go with one of my favorites.
Which is the cooler master h. 500. But that s a hundred our case and to stay at the thousand our budget. You d have to take 50 out of something everything s a compromise when you re at this price point.
And so going with a 50 case does enable you to put some more money in some other components. That s a personal preference and of course you may have your own favorite brand. Maybe you like fractal design or nzxt or corsair or one of the others. Most companies offer something in the 50 to our price range.
So if that s your price range pick your favorite last. But certainly not least is power supply you do not have to spend a fortune on a power supply for a system like this 50 is really all that you need to spend plus or minus 10. Depending. Upon whether you want modular non modular.
Sleeved cables etc. I have up here a selection of power supplies. I have used all of these power supplies in the past. They re all fine 80 plus bronze.
450 to 550. Watts. Is completely plenty your system here might draw 250..
Watts total while gaming. Between the cpu and the graphics card. So don t go thinking you need some 700 watt power supplier 80 plus gold. It s nice for efficiency.
But if you have a thousand our budget. Don t put your money there fifty bucks would be about my limit on a power supply on a build of this size custom pcs are custom. I do not expect you all to build exactly this system instead. It s a build guide designed to give you a starting point want more ram want more storage wanted for graphics card.
One a different case by all means customize it and make it your own. But for 1000. This is a really nice well rounded build with components that all will work very well together and balance each other out there s no bottlenecks in this system. The cpu in the graphics card these are very nicely balanced.
These are gonna run games very well for the next three years without any issues whatsoever. 16. Gigs of ram will be enough probably for the next three years and almost everything so long as you re not trying to livestream with new content creation you might want 32 gigs. If you re doing that and of course storage is very personal.
How many games do you have how much storage. Do you need most of the decent 50 cases this this becca for from corsair. Some of the others from coolermaster. They have room usually for two three and a half inch hard drives.
So if you want to add a hard drive. Maybe a four terabyte drive for 50 or 60 bucks. Then you can certainly put that down there. And then there s room to add more two and a half inch sata ssds.
If you want to as well very nice performance for 1000 compared to what you were doing maybe 1020 years ago. This thing s a deal like this video. If you liked it share it with your friends. If you loved it remember to subscribe to my channel with the big huge red button.
Directly below questions comments. Thoughts feedback suggestions what are you building. What components did you pick do you have a favorite brand or a favorite preference or a cpu or graphics card that you re using put that in the comment section down below. I don t reply every comment.
