“I went downstairs to play my wii u for the first time in a while while i don t play that that much now that i have the switch maybe every month or two. But i noticed something was kind of weird when i went downstairs and i usually look at this in this little light. There s a little led light and it s either orange. If it s charging or green.
If it s fully charged there was no light at all so i didn t know what was going on i thought that maybe it was just unplugged or something i didn t think anything of it really i took it off the base. And i tried to turn it on i pushed the power button and nothing happened it was just a blank screen like you see right here. And that s like i was like oh. No this thing is dead like i mean.
It s completely gone..
I got to buy a new one they don t really sell these anymore. Yet to buy a whole new system a whole new console. It s like 200 bucks. I was a little upset at first i threw a few curse words out there.
But luckily. It s a really easy fix so it turns out that the battery just needed to be reseeded. And this is actually a really common problem with the wii u. All you actually have to do is take it off of its base station.
You don t that make sure it s turned off because it s not gonna be able to turn on anyway..
So don t worry about that step and just take a screwdriver a very small screwdriver and unscrew these two little screws in the back of the wii u. Gamepad. And after you unscrew them. Then the whole panel.
The little plastic panel will lift off and the battery would be exposed. And i ve never actually done this before i don t even know you that you could do this. But all you have to do is take it out of that little plug for about ten seconds. Just hold it in your hand and then plug it back in and like i said it s only 10 seconds.
It s not very long and then you ll notice when you put your wii u gamepad back on the charger..
The light will go on and you ll be back in business of course you can have to fully charge your wii gamepad from nothing because it ll be probably no battery left in it. But it s only take a couple hours. And it ll be back to you know having a decent battery life on this thing. And if that doesn t solve your problem.
And no one else is really messed with your gamepad in a while i went online and looked and they sell these batteries on ebay. And they re only ten dollars so worse comes to worse you can just buy a new battery and hopefully that ll fix the problem. Hopefully your battery is just completely. And then you could just buy a new battery pop it in there.
And it ll be a really easy fix for ten bucks..
Like i said. It s a lot cheaper than buying a whole new wii u gamepad on ebay or something. But yeah i m glad my wii u is back working again i can now go back on there and play all my eshop games that i downloaded and super mario maker and super mario 3d. World and all the awesome games on the wii u.
