av inputs This is a topic that many people are looking for. newyorkcityvoices.org is a channel providing useful information about learning, life, digital marketing and online courses …. it will help you have an overview and solid multi-faceted knowledge . Today, newyorkcityvoices.org would like to introduce to you How to Use AV Composite on a TV with No AV ports (Yellow, Red & White). Following along are instructions in the video below:
“Name s vince from i m a penstock common in this video today. I m m going to be showing you how to connect up composite connections to a tv have composite. So. This is often called a v.
As well now if you look on a lot of tv s most of them do actually have an av input. So you can see it there. We ve got the yellow for video and then the red for the right audio and the white for the left audio. But what happens now if you ve looked in the back of your tv.
And you don t have those ports. So somebody might have bought you one of these for your birthday or for christmas. And you want to play it. And then you re disappointed to find out that you can t connect it up let me show you a simple way of doing it so here we have a panasonic plasma tv.
Which is around 10 years old but it still works absolutely fine and on the back of this one there is no av port. So if you have a look around the place you can see that there s no connections. Now we have got the component in here the year ypbpr connections. But on this one you can see the green is a full green on some of them they actually have that green which is half yellow half green and then you can go into the settings of the tv and change.
It and that will also allow composite but on this tv..
There s no option. But if you look closely at the scart. It does actually have down at the bottom. It says.
Rgb and video and a v2 has rgb video and s. Video. So we can actually use the scarce connections to get the av signal into it so if you have a look. This is what we need to get you can get these in all different designs.
But what i like about this is it doesn t actually take the scart socket. Because it s a pass through so you can plug this in. And then you can get your start. Leads sticking out of this side.
Here. It will also allow s video. And you can see here. The composite ones here so yellow white and red and we have inputs and outputs so in this instance.
We re pushing a signal in to the tv..
So we need to have that switch to inputs so all we re going to be doing is from this little retro gaming device. We re going to be plugging a yellow to yellow and we re going to be plugging the white to white make sure the switch is on input. And we re now going to plug this in so here like so now if you come around to the front of the tv. We need to tell the tv.
What channel to put it on so we re going to go to av and if you have a look at the moment when hdmi one we re going to move up to av one because that s what we plugged it into so. We re just going to hit a v. Repeatedly until we get to av one. And now once we turn on our little device.
Here you will see it will come up and scream. And there we go you can see it now so if when you do it. It s a black and white picture that probably means that you ve connected that up to these ones instead and on a lot of tvs. That s fine because you can change it in the settings.
But on this particular tv. You can t so let me show you what i mean let s say if we take this cable out and we re going to use the white into the left audio here. Which is correct. But then a lot of people might plug this into this one here and on this particular tv.
What that s going to do is it s going to give you a black and white picture..
So if we go to av and then if we go to component. You will see here that the pictures. There we will still have sounds. But the issue we have is component is actually a better connection.
But we can t use that on this particular one here because this is composite. But if you look components splits to colors up into green blue and red and you ll put an order signal just into the green and that s why we ve got a bad picture. So in this particular tv. We re going to have to use it provide the scart like so here is an example of a tv that shows the input.
So if you have a look here you ve got component av in and look at the green. One there is half yellow half green so depending on whether you were using component or composite. So in this instance. We using composite.
We will plug the yellow on into there and then the white one answer here and the red one into here because this is the audio. Don t put the red one into here because this is the red of the component and then all we would have to do is select. It at the front here so get the remote control go to source and then if you have a look up. Here you can see you would move your way over to av.
Yeah..
So here we have another tv and this is slightly different again you can see here component in an av in and if you look at the green. It s also split between green and yellow. The top one is purely for. Component this one here you can see it terminates in a little 35 millimeter jack.
But i only give you the red and the blue. So if you have a look. The green is shared with the yellow on this one here so because we want to use it as composite. We re gonna plug the yellow into this top one here and then you would plug the white one into the white and the red into the red and it terminates on a 35 millimeter.
For pope jack. So. Then you would just plug that into there and you would select the av input or composite input on your tv. So i hope you enjoyed the video if you did please give it a thumbs up and please subscribe for more how to videos take.
