“Guys welcome back to the channel and today we re taking a second look at at man 19. It is the first madden game out of ea sports since 2008. For those players that are still playing on their computers bam 2008. There are two things to look for for those people.
Before they upgrade or side grade. However you want to look at it man. 19. The first thing is the gameplay which i m not going to be taking an in depth look at mostly because i m not a video game review channel.
We ll definitely check out a lot of reviews and gameplay footage just to see if you think you like what you see and the second part is is it a good port to begin with so does it run smoothly on computers. And that s the part that we re looking at today specifically with the minimum system requirements now for the minimum specs ea recommends windows 7 or newer we re running on windows 10 though the operating system shouldn t make a big difference in the framerate..
We are running a gtx 660 and the cpu should be an equivalent of an i3 4350 or better now we are pairing this computer setup. Because i also saw on i believe whose pc game or a listening for something like an fx 4300 as the amd equivalent. So we re actually running an 860 k. That s an athlon quad core processor.
With extremely similar architecture to the 4300 clock speeds almost identical to the 4300. We are not actually even overclocking this cpu at all so we are running with nearly identical to the minimum system specs. We do have 8 gigabytes of ram on this system and we are running on an ssd because again the hard drive should not really affect the framerate whatsoever. Though to be clear your load.
Times will be a lot longer. If you re using a hard drive and especially..
If you re using like a slow 5400 rpm. Hard drive now this game is a little bit difficult to benchmark because all of the cutscenes drop. The framerate down to 30 fps so if you re just running a benchmark your numbers are gonna be skewed pretty severely because there are so many cutscenes between plays however during gameplay so actually during the plays. I was seen pretty much 60 fps across the board that s at medium settings at 1080p.
I did occasionally see the game dropped down to 40 or in the 50s in the fps. But for the most part. We were almost locked at 60fps. If not a little bit better sometimes with the gtx 660 and an unknow ver clock 860 k.
So for the port it runs really well i imagine that you could bump up the settings. Even if you were i m happy with 30 fps with these very very modest hardware requirements and still get playable frame rates so from my perspective ea did a great job on actually porting the game the gameplay itself and actually if it s a good game..
Maybe still needs a little bit of work so that is a quick look at minimum system requirements on the new madden. 19. For pc. I believe it is available for full purchase august 10th.
I want to say but you can actually get access to it right now. If you go ahead and sign up for the ea premier access. Which is 15 a month. It s actually a great way to take a look at the game.
Without paying the full price. Which is exactly what i m doing i don t know yet whether i m going to actually pay the full price and buy the game permanently or if i m just gonna cancel that subscription and kind of move on down the way..
But i am very happy to see the man series coming back to the pc. Now i just want a to continue working and refining the gameplay because it definitely does still have some rough edges. But i do want to know from you guys if you re on pc are you planning on buying man. Maybe you used to play madden on consoles maybe you currently play madden on consoles.
