“I m corey and today i m going to talk to you about the fitbit fitbit blaze fitness watch okay so we have the fitbit blaze fitness watch right here you can see there it s just a watch fitness tracker on the back side you see it s got some lights that are blinking. I don t know if you can see that but the beauty of this fitness. Tracker is that it s just a watch. It doesn t require a chest strap.

And the one thing that we found here at live fitness aab over the years is that chest straps provide some of the most accurate readings when it comes to measuring your heart rate during an exercise session. And so this thing came along and we ve seen some others before that are just watches that you wear in your wrist. And they re not very accurate. And so we were excited to take this watch and run it through its paces like we do many of the other technologies.

We took it on a run. We used it during our exercise sessions and we found that yeah. There is a feature that you need to turn on in order to be able to capture the right heart rate. And make sure that it s accurate so it s the one complaint that some customers have had is that it doesn t record heartrate accurately that s not true if you turn this feature on and so that s what i m going to show you today so as you prepare to exercise just make sure that the the fitness watch is not too tight on the wrist.

That s like one of the key elements to to getting an accurate heart rate. Some people think you have to strap it down real tight. I think that s because in times past the heart rate chest straps they have to be tight. This is not something that needs to be very tight at all it needs to be just just loose nice and comfortable like you would normally wear a watch clean.

Obviously and so once you get it on and you want to record heart rate during an exercise session and you want to be able to capture those beats per minute accurately put it on and let s go to the first screen so when it comes up there s the first screen. And it s got your time and your date you swipe swipe from right to left and right to left. You ll see it comes up to the today screen keep swiping go to the exercise screen once you re on the exercise screen you tap that screen once and you ll see all of these different exercises. It starts in the run category.

Swipe. Go to the bike swipe. Again. There s weights.

Again. Treadmill. Elliptical. And then we come up to the one that we re going to use today for the example workout.

So once you re up on the workout. Screen tap that once and you come up to the let s go screen and notice down in the lower right hand corner. You ll see the play button. It s really important that you tell to watch.

I m about ready to work out and you do that by coming to the screen. And then hit that play button and now your heart rate comes up on the screen. And you re the timer comes up on the screen. So you start working out at this point.

Now. It s actually recording the workout. As opposed to just tracking your resting heart rate through the day and your other activities. If this technology turns on so that it tracks the heart rate much more frequently and so it gives you a much accurate reading.

And it doesn t miss any of the fluctuations in the heart. When you go up and down and so workout is normal you work your way through the workout. And as you don t forget when you come to the end of the workout. You ve got to shut this thing off so that it packages up that entire workout.

All of those all that data that they collected during the workout. So let s say you come to the end of the workout back to that same screen you ll notice in the lower left hand corner you have a pause button so it does just that it pauses let s say you need to step away for a few minutes in the workout to take care of whatever and then you re going to come back. And you don t want to record that activity while you re gone this pause is a great feature. But let s say we re done with the workout.

You re not done yet so the workouts over you ve got to go into that upper right hand corner. And you ve got to hit that checkered flag. Now that brings you up to this results page. So notice the results it shows the time that you worked out how long that was the average heart rate.

The max heart rate calories burned and then you scroll down a little bit more and you click on that done now. It s all wrapped up it s packaged in the next time to just add this focus of watch syncs with your phone. Now all of that data has been recorded and captured on the phone and you can go and look back on it. And you can see you know max heart rate.

Where you a verge out the beauty of these exercise sessions as you configure them in your phone on the app is that you can adjust the max heart rate. And you can adjust the lower heart rate limits. So you can create your zones fitness trackers for us here at life in the sub. They re they re really important because they help us as we deal with our customers to know how effective and how hard they re actually working out in the workout.

Some people come from not a very good fitness base and so we want to limit their max heart rate and so we ll runs we ll figure that out we ll calculate their heart rate and we ll calculate your based on their age. And their weight and their and their height roughly. Where they should be given their current fitness level. So we ll establish the upper limit.

They ll put their watch on and we ll just tell them like during the workout is what is your heart rate doing how do we know what the heart rates doing because they can look at their watch well i m at my max. According to what i figured out in the app and we ll just tell them okay then slope. Maybe take the next set off so it s a great way to level the playing field with all the different types of fitness levels that we deal with and personally for you it s a great way for you to be able to track what you re actually doing in the workout and if you really fit or if you re not fit at all it gives you an idea of how hard did i work. And what does that feel like to have a heart rate at that level.

So those are some really great features that are inside of this fitness. Fitbit blaze fitness watch that you can use to make your workouts more efficiently a couple of other features that are really great is it does all the activity tracking as normal. It can give you reminders as far as exercising on a weekly basis. If you want to exercise three times a week or five times a week it tracks water it does many of these other things.

But specifically heartrate. If you want to get accurate heart rate readings. This is what you have to do to get the most out of this watch as you workout. That s it for today thanks for joining us and we ll see you next time ” .
