I had to come check out this little npc village. I spawned about 30 blocks away from here.
And it s pretty cool so i had to come check it out. But if we turn around if we turn the camera around we will get to why we are actually here taking tile entities alright this is a little setup that is going to break our game alright i actually managed to do this on complete accident one day on my own world a couple months ago. I had been playing this world for about three three weeks or so i guess i ve gotten decently far in it and all of a sudden. I just happen to place a golden conductive pipe right next to a gas turbine.
Very bad idea people very very bad idea this is pretty much the exact setup. I had and the instant i place that gold pipe right here it crashed the game. It just instantly crashed the game wasn t able to load it again kept giving me this ticking tile entity err i searched the internet search forums i searched everything i could think of for about two months and never found an answer as to how it fix it so i ended up deleting the game. Which was kind of sad because i figured this out yesterday and have tested it today and it this this process actually works and crude.
And it corrects. The error so basically let me go over what we got here real quick. This is a diesel generator can have some nitro coal fuel in there charging an electrical engine. Which is then it was charging other it was powering other items than our other machines down.
Here. I had placed another machine down here in that spot. Which is why i put another pipe right there to power that machine not thinking being a little noob like i am and that s what caused the whole problem in the first place. But so anyway we are about to break this and i m gonna show you exactly what happens when we do and how we go about fixing it so here.

There we go yep that is what happens and here in a second. We re gonna see a minecraft crash report. Telling us exactly what happened here it is minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem ticking tile entity the one we ate just a little bit further down if you read through here just a little bit you get down here to this section called tile entity being ticked. Most important part of this whole thing now this is not a complete crash report.
But this little paragraph here tells you everything you need to know this under details the name tells you what kind of block is being ticked and this block location here this line tells you exactly where it is in the world. And that is the information you need to fix this issue. So right here on this screen is everything you need to know. This tells you the actual xyz coordinates of that block under chunk here this part doesn t matter 1616 is the part that we re looking at right here that tells you what actual chunk you re looking at the rest of this doesn t matter until you get to region that tells you the region you re looking at so you re looking at region 0 0.
Chunk 16 16 and a block with these coordinates so that is what we need to find. And what we are going to use to find that and fix. It is a program called nbt explorer. I m using linux here.
People so nbt explorer actually only runs on windows. And mac. So i have to run this in crossover basically when we get to nbt explorer we open it up we get this window. Let s see go to file open folder.
You got a browse to your savegame this program can modify the data of saved games of minecraft save games. So be very very careful with this because you can t end up corrupting your saved game never to be able to fix it again this process is safe. I ve tested it quite a few times today just to make sure right now. I m just navigating to my this is my home folder.

Yeah hit ok once you get to say game. This is all the information that tells the game everything it needs to know about this about this egg game. But where the information that we re looking for is going to be in here in the region basically. This is kind of a map of the game.
You know this tells the game where everything is what s there as you remember from here region 0 0. Is what we re looking for that s the only one we ve got because i haven t really explored this at all so we open that up and then we re looking for chunk 1616. So you got to scroll down. Here and as you can see you got 318 here for 3 here you got to scroll all the way down to 16 16.
All right there we go there it is 16 16. All right expand that now the information you need is inside the level that tells the game. What is actually in this chunk. So you ve got to go expand the level since you know this is a tile entity.
That s causing a problem you re looking for the tile entity entry. Here. It s got eight entries under the tile entities you got to expand that and one of these entries each of these entries stands for one tile. One just basically one block in the world.
So you basically have to go through these entries and figure out which one of these entries has these coordinates and that is going to tell you the exact block that we just placed it we know it s the gold golden conductive pipe. But to make sure we ve got a couple other golden conductive pipes. There right so we got to expand this scroll down to where it actually says the coordinates. This is 260 to the x value.
We re looking for is 260..
So this is not it even though it is a build kraft transport generic pipe you know. But it s not the right one this one s at 263 not it one s 266 259. Cc2. 62.
60 65 to 69 this should be it see also a builds kraft transport generic pipe so this is the entry we re looking for if we select this entry and just simply hit delete gets rid of it takes it out make sure once you do that that is all you have to do an nb t. Edit. The nb t explorer. To actually fix this hit save make sure you hit save make sure it saves or else next time you load the game.
It s not actually going to load. So we got to close out of minecraft. Minimize this reopen feed the beast launch mine crack all right here. We go.
It s gonna take a minute to actually load this but uh you know for those of you who are wondering i m using ffmpeg to actually record this i chose ffmpeg because most of the the important part of this video is what s going on in the desktop and i know that ffmpeg does not actually record minecraft. Very well and it has to record it in a window. So that s why i m actually in a window here. But to actually be able to see the desktop ffmpeg is really pretty much the best choice for it so that is why the minecraft play here is not gonna look all that great for those of you who were running linux and want to actually get into the recording minecraft.
I would suggest taking a look at gl. See that that program is awesome. And does really well with recording opengl applications like minecraft and most new games. Actually are use opengl so glc can actually record those for you come on game sink takes.
So long to load all right here..
We go get this thing loaded crash and burn baby crash and burn all right right about here is where your game would crash. If you hadn t gone into nbt explorer and fix that issue you would get the same exact error message and everything i ve done it so many times that i tried to load something with that error so many times that it just yeah. That is that is right where it crashes and as you can see there s still an outline of a pipe here. But it s gone and the game loaded just go ahead and break whatever this thing.
Thinks is here just get rid of it and you are good to go your game is safe you re back just don t put another pipe down. There or else you have to go through the process again so there you go guys. It is a very simple process just remember to read the crash report. It tells you exactly where that block is what the block is go into nbt explorer go into region go into the chunk going to tile entities find the tile entity with that location and just delete it and it s as simple as that really just a couple step process takes only a couple minutes and your game is back.
Yeah. I wish i had found this answer a couple months ago before i deleted that save game. I was that i d be able to actually go back and play it you know. But you know too bad and live.
And learn you gotta back up your games. Yeah. Another noob move on my part. But alright there you go guys.
